1) What is SmithsSpanish?

Spanish immersion holidays in Latin America: We have created a holiday experience with fast-track Spanish lessons and exchanges. We offer a Spanish immersion course: students spend two weeks learning Spanish and practicing what they have learnt with a group of native Spanish speakers. Our dual language program gives students the advantage of studying alongside a group of native Spanish speakers- they also stay in the same hotel with them and take part in tours and activities together. As they will be staying in the same hotel together they will have the opportunity to spend as much time practicing together in their spare time as they wish.

2) Who is Smiths Spanish?

Company Director: Heidi Gordon Smith

SmithsSpanish was founded by Heidi Gordon Smith. Having previously lived and taught abroad in Mexico, Heidi understands the importance of attaining adequate language skills in order to successfully communicate within different cultures. She transfers these passions and beliefs to her work and is constantly searching for ways to develop and improve the way that people are taught and learn languages.

4) How will you benefit from our Spanish Immersion Program?

5) Why are we different from other language programs?

Rather than spending long hours in a classroom, we offer a few hours of intensive Spanish study and then we encourage you to socialize with native speakers. You are introduced to a group of native Spanish speakers during our Spanish conversation hour and then given the opportunity to arrange tours and trips with them in your spare time.

See Latin America from a natives viewpoint: your native exchange partners will teach you about the local culture and show you around the local haunts rather than being left to find your way around the tourist traps.
Have time to spend with friends and family.
If you choose to bring friends and family with you, then you will have every day after 11.30 to spend with them and all weekend… They may take advantage of your discounted tour packages and also your native guides and exchange partners. Contact us

6) Who can go on our holidays?

Anyone can come and enjoy our Spanish language holiday experience, whatever age, except under 18s will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

7) Can you bring your whole family?

Yes of course the whole family can come and everyone may also study Spanish or you may choose to take advantage of the kid’s club during the morning class and then just bring the children on the excursions. There are of course lower prices for non-participating family members, which just cover hotel charges. Depeding on hotel policy additional family members may also be able to stay in your room free of charge. Contact us

8) What will you achieve?

Our Language Program will give you the opportunity to increase fluency and confidence and to really communicate with native Spanish speakers. You will also be able to cultivate life long friendships and enjoy the social nature of a group holiday. You can of course spend as little or as much time with the rest of the group as you choose.

9) Where are we based?

The company office is based in London, England, but we mainly operate over the Internet and communicate mainly via email or telephone.

10) Where do our teachers come from?

Most of our teachers are native Mexicans or natives to other Spanish speaking countries, those who are not, speak Spanish to a native standard.

13) Can you bring your family and friends with you even if they don’t want to study?

Yes of course the whole family can come and everyone may also study Spanish or you may choose to take advantage of the kid’s club during the morning class and then just bring the children on the excursions. There are of course lower prices for non-participating family members, which just cover hotel charges- some hotels entitle additional guests to stay in your room free of charge. Contact us

14) How much free time will you have?

There will be lots of optional activities after 11.30am, so you can spend as much or as little time with the rest of the group as you wish to.
