1) What is SmithsSpanish?

SmithsSpanish provides Spanish language courses for English language speakers. We have created a holiday experience with fast-track Spanish lessons and exchanges. We also offer a large variety of Spanish Language Courses in and around London and Cambridge, England.

2) Who is SmithsSpanish?

Company Director: Heidi Gordon Smith

SmithsSpanish was founded by Heidi Gordon Smith. Having previously lived and taught abroad in Mexico, Heidi understands the importance of attaining adequate language skills in order to successfully communicate within different cultures. She transfers these passions and beliefs to her work and is constantly searching for ways to develop and improve the way that people are taught and learn languages.

3) What do we offer?

Various group and private Spanish lessons for all ages: ranging from nursery and primary school to adult.

5) Why are we different from other language programs?

Rather than spending long hours in a classroom, we offer a few hours of intensive Spanish study and then we encourage you to socialize with native speakers. You are introduced to local university students during our Spanish conversation hour and then given the opportunity to arrange tours and trips with them on evenings and at weekends.

Holiday-style accommodation
Stay in a beach front, minimum 4* hotel with swimming pools, child care and spa facilities: so that you can really relax while you study Spanish.

Accommodation and tour discount packages can be shared with family and friends whether they are taking part in the Spanish study course or not.
Spanish Language exchange partners
We are affiliated with the local University, which has enabled us to develop a language exchange scheme.
We can co-ordinate a group of local University students to go on the tours with you at the weekend or afternoon trips and dining out the rest of the time.
After you have had your initial introduction, you may choose to go to the beach with a select few, or perhaps go for a coffee, or even one of the famous yoga/pilates classes in down town Puerto Vallarta.
A native experience rather than a tourist one…
See Mexico from a natives viewpoint: your Mexican exchange partners will teach you about the local culture and show you around the local haunts rather than being left to find your way around the local tourist traps.
Have time to spend with friends and family.

6) Who can go on our holidays?

Anyone can come and enjoy our Spanish language holiday experience, whatever age, except under 18s will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

7) Can you bring your whole family?

Yes of course the whole family can come and everyone may also study Spanish or you may choose to take advantage of the kid’s club during the morning class and then just bring the children on the excursions. There are of course lower prices for non-participating family members, which just cover hotel charges. Contact us

8) What will you achieve?

Our Language Program will give you the opportunity to increase fluency and confidence and to really communicate with native Spanish speakers. You will also be able to cultivate life long friendships and enjoy the social nature of a group holiday. You can of course spend as little or as much time with the rest of the group as you choose.

9) Where are we based?

The company office is based in London, England, but we mainly operate over the Internet and communicate mainly via email or telephone.

10) Where do our teachers come from?

Most of our teachers are native Mexicans or natives to other Spanish speaking countries, those who are not, speak Spanish to a native standard.

We can help you to meet and socialize with many Spanish speakers through our University-affiliated exchange program.
